Student Government Association Blazer Allocation Committee (Small Allocation less than $1,000)

Deadline to Apply: Applications are accepted on a continuous basis Fall and Spring semester. Applicants should allow three to four weeks prior to when funds are needed.

Eligibility:

  • Organizations historically receiving funding of $1,000 or less in prior years; or
  • Individuals with special interest program emphasis; or
  • Organizations and individuals that have not received funding in the past.

Process:

  • Submit completed forms and attachments to Student Government Association
  • Once it is confirmed the request meets the requirements of the small allocation process you will be invited to present to the Student Government Association Chamber of Finance.
  • Prepare a 5 minute presentation for the Chamber outlining your request for funds and detailing the requirements listed in the application.
  • Respond to 5 to 7 minutes of questions from the Chamber.
  • Make a 1 to 2 minute closing statement.
  • Within two weeks receive written notice of funding with further instructions or denial from the SGA Vice President of Finance.

Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee (Large Allocation greater than $1,000)

Deadline to Apply:  February 10th

SAFAC Spring Meeting Date:  Spring Semester

Eligibility:

  • Departments or organizations historically receiving funding in excess of $1,000 in prior years are invited to submit their request to the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee. 
  • Organizations historically receiving funding of $1,000 or less in prior years or organizations with special interest program emphasis and/or registered organizations that have not received funding in the past must apply and be awarded by the Student Government Association Blazer Allocation Committee for two consecutive years prior to submitting a request to the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee.

Process:

  • Submit completed forms and attachment through the online application form.
  • Once it is confirmed that the request meets the requirements for Large Allocation you will be invited to present to the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee at the Spring meeting.
  • Prepare a 5 minute presentation to the SAFAC outlining your request for funds and detailing the requirements listed in the application.
  • Respond to 5 to 7 minutes of questions from the SAFAC.
  • Make a 1 minute closing statement.
  • Within two weeks receive email notice of prelimiary approval for funding with further instructions or denial from the SAFAC chair.
