Service Learning Recognition
Want to earn swag to wear at graduation?
The Department of Teacher Education awards recognition at graduation to all undergraduate students in the department who perform community service during their time at VSU. We believe that performing volunteer work in your community is an important part of being a citizen and an educator. All students in undergraduate Elementary, Middle, or Secondary Education programs are required to complete 40 hours of service.
Students earning service learning recognition will receive their awards at a celebration at the end of their final semester.
