Hey everyone! My name is Julio Contreras, and I’m proud to serve as the Residence Hall Director for Hopper Hall here at Valdosta State University. My role is all about building community, supporting our amazing Resident Assistants, and making sure Hopper feels like a welcoming and safe space for everyone.
I’m here to support you—whether that means helping you navigate challenges, celebrating your wins, or just having a good conversation in the hallway.
Outside of work, I enjoy trying out different sports with friends (even if I’m not always great at them—shoutout to my brief rugby days), listening to music, gaming online, and playing instruments like the flute and alto saxophone. I love finding new ways to connect with people and create a space where everyone feels seen and supported.
