This form can be used by VSU students, staff, and faculty who have a 3D Print STL file ready to print.

  • After completing this form please provide us with a 1-business day response time to ensure we can schedule you for the time you are requesting.
  • We may also send you an estimate for printing if we have enough information before starting your request. Thus, if not meeting in person, please expect email correspondence for further clarifications.
  •  If you have any questions please contact the New Media Center (NMC) at (229) 333-5863 or email us at media@valdosta.edu
  • If not for a class or department, please just type personal project. Please know that academic projects will take priority. Also, this service is only for students, staff, and faculty currently attending/working at VSU.

  • If you don't have your file ready yet, no worries. You can still submit your request to schedule a time to meet with an NMC staff member to go over your STL or OBJ file you created or gained access to. This may also be important in case you have multiple parts to your order. Know that you can zip the material together if you have multiple files to share with us.

I'm ok not coming in and will trust the New Media Center to print the object I attached as-is.
  • Please be mindful of potential technical issues that may arise during the 3D printing process, as well as the considerable time required for certain prints. For instance, jobs with dimensions around 3 inches tall by 2 inches wide by 2 inches in length can take approximately 4-5 hours to complete and may consume around 40-60 grams of filament. The duration and filament usage can vary based on factors such as the use of a raft, supports, infill, and other considerations.

NMC Hours can be found on our website: www.valdosta.edu/media

  • If you need to let us know what the departmental chart string is to charge for this request (if for a department or organization), or if you have project specific information like I would like to spend no more than $20 on this project, etc....
