SACSCOC at VSU
VSU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The current accreditation period is effective from January 2022 through December 2031.
A SACSCOC review team of seven members conducted VSU's site visit March 8-11, 2021. Based on an extensive review of VSU's compliance materials, the committee concluded that no recommendations for corrective action were necessary. The SACSCOC Board of Trustees met December 2, 2021 to make final decisions on accreditation statuses of institutions eligible for reaccreditation. Public announcements of reaccreditation were made at the SACSCOC Annual Meeting on December 7, 2021.
Statement of Accreditation Status
Valdosta State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, bachelor's, master's, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. Valdosta State University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
