The Valdosta State Difference

Students enrolled in data science programs have the opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of faculty members and present their findings at the annual Arts and Sciences Symposium on Undergraduate Research. Three computer labs are available for student use, including a Smart Lab with workstations connected to Linux, Solaris and Windows servers. Valdosta State provides mathematics and applied mathematics students with opportunities for cooperative education, which integrates classroom instruction with practical work experience. Outstanding students have the opportunity to participate in Pi Mu Epsilon, the National Mathematics Honorary Society.
