School children examine the nursing profession
Fifth graders from Quitman Elementary School will get a glimpse
of college life and examine career choices available to them in the
field of nursing. The students will arrive at Valdosta State
University's Martin Hall, on March 11 at approximately 9:30
a.m.
The students will tour the university's campus and talk to college
students about nursing as a career option. The day's events are
sponsored by the College of Nursing and include information on diet
and nutrition and the importance of exercise, along with the proper
way to take a persons' blood pressure and other medical
procedures.
For a complete schedule of the day's event, contact Debra Baker at
293-6270 or e-mail dfbaker@valdosta.edu.
