Environmental and Occupational Safety
Is charged with promoting environmental and occupational safety, fire safety, industrial hygiene and hazardous materials management. If you have any questions or concerns regarding any of our areas of operations contact our department staff. In case of an emergency, we are also available after hours through the University Police department. Thank you for visiting our web pages
Mission Statement
Our office is here to support and advance the teaching, learning and research activities of the University through promotion of a safe and healthy campus environment. To accomplish this, we provide and coordinate programs and services that minimize safety, health, environmental and regulatory risks to the Valdosta State University community in a manner consistent with responsible fiscal and environmental stewardship. Our vision is that our department be comprised of individuals committed to our mission and values, that we strive for the highest professional practices and standards, that we provide quality services to our customers.
